VRM-XB1-XYZ

The VRM-XB1-XYZ COM Express Computer on Module is scalable from 1 GHz Ultra Low Voltage Celeron® M to 2.0GHz Pentium® M.










COM Express is an open PICMG® standard for Computer-On-Modules, based on new technologies such as PCI Express, Serial ATA and SDVO. Alternatively equipped with the Intel series of (LV) Pentium® M and ULV Celeron® M processors and up to 2GB RAM, the VRM-XB1-XYZ is a versatile COM Express basic form factor module, designed especially for systems which require high performance and low power consumption. Available with a variety of processors, starting with the 1GHz ULV Celeron® M 373 up to the 2.0GHz Pentium® M Dothan 760 with 533MHz FSB, the VRM-XB1-XYZ covers a wide range of industrial applications. The 915GM chipset is based on PCI Express Technology and has integrated a powerful dual screen graphics accelerator. The SDVO and VGA video interfaces allow for attachment of digital flat panel displays and analog monitors. The VRM-XB1-XXYZ is provided with a Gigabit Ethernet controller, and eight USB 2.0 ports for high speed communication. Four Serial ATA channels are available. In addition, an on-board CFA socket accommodates either a Compact Flash memory card or ATA Microdrive®. The dual slot DIMM socket is suitable to address up to 2GB interleaved (symmetric) dual channel memory. Typically, the VRM-XB1-XYZ will be combined with a custom specific carrier board. As a reference platform, V Rose provides the VRM-CL1, a CompactPCI 6U card with a rich set of additional I/O features. The VRM-XB1-XYZ COM Express module is the perfect choice for embedded applications that require a standard processor at the center of their design. OEMS can significantly improve their flexibility and reduce their total cost by adapting the open standards based architecture of COM Express.
